Macaframa just droppped this rad video on my pal Roadblock and the Wolfpack Hustle Ride. Roadblock is like the godfather of urban bike culture around these parts so pay attention. If I remember correctly, I think he started Wolfpack Hustle almost seven years ago now and it’s nice to see a little credit finally come back to where it’s due.
Another teaser vid for the Wolfpack Marathon Crash Race 2 movie. Check out Lynn getting her feature closeup. She won 1st girl fixed and she just joined Predator Cycling. Welcome to the team, Lynn!
Congratulations to the Wolfpack Hustle riders who challenged and beat a JetBlue aircraft to a race from Burbank to Long Beach. They arrived at the Long Beach Aquarium in about half the time it took the guy travelling by plane. Check the full story on LA Times.
I must also send congrats to the City of Los Angeles for a weekend with barely any car traffic. Let’s seriously consider closing the freeways more often!
Last weekend was the notorious Marathon Crash Race 2 presented by Wolfpack Hustle. The race was fast, cold and kinda wet. First of all, congrats to Lynn for winning first place girl — an alumnus of the Intro To Track Racing class at Encino Velodrome. LA’s own John The Roadie defended his Marathon Crash Race title with an overall win and 1st place in the road category but the big shocker was brought by a few guys from State Bicycles in Arizona who completely owned the fixed gear podium (and coming in 2nd, 3rd and 5th place overall). The coveted Wolfpack Dog Tags have left Los Angeles! Check the recap at Prolly’s site.
Anyway, my buddy Mikey Wally was there to capture a lot of the action and he’s got a great set of black-n-whites from the night. Check out the rest of the set here.
