A TRAINING SESSION WITH THE SWISS


With the UCI World Cup event coming up in London, national teams all over the world are seriously preparing their legs as it will be a rare opportunity for everyone to test the Olympic velodrome a few months for the Olympic Games. Here’s the Swiss National Team getting some laps in at the http://www.uci.ch/">World Cycling Center in Aigle.

FIRST FRIDAYS AT BOULDER INDOOR CYCLING


Winter season is upon us and that means riding indoors for many cyclists across the country — especially in snowy Colorado. So even though the national track season is officially over, racing is in full effect every First Friday of the month at Boulder Indoor Cycling.

CHICAGO VELOCAMPUS: EXPLORING ORIGINS


This is the first chapter in the life of a velodrome: “a preview of a soon to be released documentary exploring the construction, community, and usage of the Chicago Velo Campus”.

I hope there are many more chapters to come.

Velodrome architect Ralph Schuermann revealed his rendering of the proposed Knightsbridge Velodrome in New York City earlier this week as a part of a drive to raise interest and awareness for the project.  Let alone if this velodrome even gets built, wouldn’t it be crazy to attract that kind of crowd to a Six Day racing event in the USA?

BikeSnobby says “no way!”  Maybe I’m just an idealist but I think it could happen.
