With the UCI World Cup event coming up in London, national teams all over the world are seriously preparing their legs as it will be a rare opportunity for everyone to test the Olympic velodrome a few months for the Olympic Games. Earlier this week Affinity Cycles announced the launch of the Kissena Velo Fund. The non-profit organization is being set up with a plan to revitalize New York’s Kissena Velodrome and turn it into a world-class 250-meter indoor velodrome with an attached cycling center and museum.

Winter season is upon us and that means riding indoors for many cyclists across the country — especially in snowy Colorado. So even though the national track season is officially over, racing is in full effect every First Friday of the month at Boulder Indoor Cycling.

Velodrome architect Ralph Schuermann revealed his rendering of the proposed Knightsbridge Velodrome in New York City earlier this week as a part of a drive to raise interest and awareness for the project. Let alone if this velodrome even gets built, wouldn’t it be crazy to attract that kind of crowd to a Six Day racing event in the USA?
