NEW BIKE DAY - CHESINI “LA RESISTENZA”

Coincidentally, when I lost my Masi 3V track bike last month, I had just bought this frame and was wondering what to do with it. Well — thanks to the douche who ran me off the road just a few blocks from Encino Velodrome — I suddenly had a full track build laying around waiting for a frame.

La Resistenza has been around the net a little bit. I think Ryan Macintosh was the one to bring it into the U.S. after buying it off a racer in Berlin. While he loved the frame, he just wasn’t sure how to build it up so he flipped it on Fixed Gear Fever. A year later and the frame turns up on Ebay so I grab it to match my Chesini road bike.

Saturday was my first day riding the new steed — I raced it at the LAVRA Upgrade Race — and it feels awesome to be back on a handmade Italian track bike (even if this one isn’t steel).

STR8 UP TR4CK PR0N!

Judging from the comments on Velospace, there’s some question as to whether this track bike ever actually sees the track. Well I’d say wherever the owner is riding it, at least he’s riding in style.

Found on Pristine.

SWEET SERENITY

One of the sponsors of DLV’s The Keirin last weekend — Serenity Bikes. Serene on the infield but she screams on the track.

MOTH ATTACK x RITTE RACING

This is probably my favorite bike at the track (except mine of course). This custom Moth Attack was built for Jack Lindquist on Ritte Racing. Jack just won Encino Velodrome’s Bob Hansing Memorial Cup on this puppy. Steel is real, baby!

THE JAGUAR SHARK’S TRACK BUILD

My buddy Zachary has some seriously deadly taste with a fine-tuned attention to detail. That’s what it takes to be a real trackie. I just love this build on his Bianchi D2 which he races up at Hellyer Park Velodrome. I even love the pairing of the Campy crank with the Suntour chainring — although I hear he’s getting some Campy rings.

Either way, such a clean track machine. Nice work, Zach!

PURSUIT BIKE PRON

Pedal Room has a new member named DUSTIN who’s throwing up a bunch of beautiful old pursuit and funny bikes. I need to find out where this guy lives and break into his garage!

See the rest of his stable on Pedal Room.
