One of the greatest bike builders ever, Ernesto Colnago, is celebrating his 80th birthday today. So I raise my glass to Mr. Colnago and say, “Thanks for all the beautiful things you’ve brought into this world!”

MONKEY LIKES SHINY: TON UP TRACK BIKE
I usually don’t go for concept bikes but I’m stoked on this project from Monkey Likes Shiny. They’re working on a prototype track bike engineered for speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour!
The conceptual drawings look pretty crazy and I’m excited to see the thing in action. For now, we can follow the build process of the 100 mph track bike over at Monkey Likes Shiny.

Big congratulations goes out to John Prolly who just revealed his beautiful new custom track bike made by Icarus Frames. The thing is f’n sweet!

SUPERB SPRINT PROTOTYPE
An ode to the early 90’s wave of aluminum track bikes. Double-butted 6061 aluminum frame looking real nice in a raw brushed finish and paired with a 4130 chromoly fork. The Superb Sprint will be available soon from Superb Bicycle out of Boston.
