An ode to the early 90’s wave of aluminum track bikes. Double-butted 6061 aluminum frame looking real nice in a raw brushed finish and paired with a 4130 chromoly fork. The Superb Sprint will be available soon from Superb Bicycle out of Boston.
But for now, enjoy these fine studio shots by Jesse Weiner.
Do you remember a time when computer graphics were cool? Here’s a rendering of an modern-day Cinelli Lazer concept by Yann Lewandowski. No this bike isn’t actually real… it would be so much cooler if it was.

Judging from the comments on Velospace, there’s some question as to whether this track bike ever actually sees the track. Well I’d say wherever the owner is riding it, at least he’s riding in style.
Beauty, class, elegance. That’s what I think when I see race gear from the olden days. Makes me wonder if we’ll have the same feelings about this cockpit in 50+ years.
This is probably my favorite bike at the track (except mine of course). This custom Moth Attack was built for Jack Lindquist on Ritte Racing. Jack just won Encino Velodrome’s Bob Hansing Memorial Cup on this puppy. Steel is real, baby!
My buddy Zachary has some seriously deadly taste with a fine-tuned attention to detail. That’s what it takes to be a real trackie. I just love this build on his Bianchi D2 which he races up at Hellyer Park Velodrome. I even love the pairing of the Campy crank with the Suntour chainring — although I hear he’s getting some Campy rings.
Either way, such a clean track machine. Nice work, Zach!
