HELP FIXATION GET INTO ARCLIGHT FILM FEST
The fixed gear documentary Fixation has been submitted to the ArcLight Documentary Film Festival and could really use your help. The top 10 most “liked” trailers will make it into the festival and there is a cash prize. The filmmakers could really use the cash to clear music rights so that the film can be distributed on DVD. The film is rad and features all kinds of fixed gear riders from the city-bound speed junkies to velodrome champions like Jamie Staff.

WISH I WAS THERE…
I’ve been sick with the worst case of strep throat for the last two weeks and I’m just now getting over it. One of the worst parts about being sick is when I see videos with all my friends having a blast and I couldn’t be there. Someone call me a wah-mbulance!
Anyway, the premier party for To Live & Ride In LA looks like it was rad. -
WPH MARATHON CRASH RACE 2 - THE MOVIE

LIVING AND RIDING IN L.A.
Coinciding with the DVD release of To Live And Ride In LA from Trafik Pictures, LA Weekly just dropped a cool little article about riding fixed in in the streets of Los Angeles. So go check out what my buddy Sean Martin has to say about never coasting in the city.
Read the full article HERE. And make sure to come to the To Live & Ride In LA DVD release party tomorrow night. -
TO LIVE AND RIDE IN L.A.
The feature-length fixed gear doc is about to drop on DVD on June 21st and Trafik Pictures just released this teaser from the shoot at Encino Velodrome.
I guarantee that the velodrome segment in the movie is at least TWICE as long as this clip so it’s probably worth checking out the screening coming up on June 25th in Los Angeles, Germany, London and Phoenix. -
FIXATION TRAILER
I’ve been hyped on this upcoming documentary for a while now. Can’t wait to check it out. Seems to be the all-encompassing fixed gear film. Here’s what the filmmakers have to say about it:
« Fixation is a true life documentary focusing on the thrilling world of single speed cycling. Shot over the course of 12 weeks, Fixation captures, for the first time, the excitement and popularity of this growing sport from all perspectives. With the resurgence of single speed bikes we discover the appeal to having only one gear. Single speeds are the original form of bicycles but technology has come so far, providing multiple speeds for faster and easier riding, yet single speeds, fixed and freewheel continue to have a strong following. The range of riders is vast, from professionals to the casual everyday rider. Their styles and motives are different but the outcome still seems to be the same, the freedom, simplicity and the challenge of having one gear is what brings them back to the basics. We will explore the full spectrum of the lifestyle: Messengers, Olympic Racing, City Riders, Bike Polo, Brakeless, Freestyle and more. Discover the passion, freedom and excitement behind only having one gear… »
