1931 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP SPRINT FINISH
A dramatic charge to the line between Denmark’s Willy Falk-Hansen (left) and France’s Lucien Michard (right). The judges erroneously awarded the victory (and World Champion title) to Falk-Hansen even though we can plainly see that Michard crossed the line first. That dude must’ve been bummed!
A great piece of history found on Erik Wiersma’s Flickr.
