For the men’s mass start qualification events, a rider must be a Category 3 or above on the track. This photo holds a special place place for me since my family is from Trinidad & Tobago. The TnT National Team has been down at LA Velodrome for training over the past week and I’m glad I was able to cheer them on during the LAVRA Cup #4 last Saturday. Adam Alexander took 2nd place in the omnium — John Walsh of Amgen-UBS Elite Masters won 1st place.

This is a short and sweet edit by photographer/videographer Andy J Scott.

The rider featured is pro cyclist and vlogger Austin Carroll.

Most of this video must be in slow mo. I don’t think you can ride that slow at the balustrade of LA Velodrome without sliding down the 47-degree banked turns.

Here’s Dena Eaton racing for She Pedals Cycling on her sweet Look during the Upgrade Races at LA Velodrome last Saturday. She was the only Cat 1 racer competing that day, racing in the Men’s Cat 3 field and in the Women’s field.

Upgrade Race results have been posted on LA Velodrome’s website.

They also FINALLY posted results for the last LAVRA Cup race day which was about three weeks ago.

The next race day in the LAVRA Cup series is this Saturday, May 1st.

Also, don’t forget that LA Velodrome is closed today for electrical repairs.

LA Velodrome Closed On Monday

LA Velodrome will be closed on Monday for some electrical repairs.

Better take your bike up to Encino Velodrome for Dingo’s training session!

LA Velodrome Is Open Again

The lights are back on at LA Velodrome and will be open for training today.

Does that mean they’ll be finally posting the results for the past couple race days?

LA Velodrome Closed…

…until further notice.

Due to a power outage, no riding at LA Velodrome (aka ADT) today. They’re not sure when the lights will go on again. I’ll keep you posted but I guess that means Encino might be pretty happening tonight.
