My good friend Tim “Smiley” McGee just got featured on Takeover LA’s series of Rider Profiles. Those of you who watched or raced in the Summer Race Series might remember Tim as that guy who practically won all the Sprint tournaments. Yeah, he’s pretty fast.

A little Aussie news bit about Anna Meares who cleaned out the women’s Sprint events last week at the World Championships with three Gold medals. She became the first Australian woman to win the World title in the Match Sprint and now has her eyes set on Olympic medallions.
All this just three years after breaking her neck and almost becoming paralyzed for life.
Sir Chris Hoy talks about his Bronze medal ride in the Team Sprint yesterday and what he’s expecting for the rest of the week. Today Hoy passed through to the semi-finals in the Match Sprints tournament which will be concluded tomorrow.
The man who dreamed up the Boulder Valley Velodrome talks with Dave Towle about his plans for building a 250-meter outdoor wooden track in Eerie, Colorado. The project looks like it’s coming along and just need some support from the right places.
