Young LeMond at 1977 USCF National Championships

This is one of my favorite video finds so far. This is raw unedited Super 8 footage from the ‘77 Nationals in Seattle, WA. It’s a looong video. The first five minutes is some road racing (sans audio) and then the track events start. The footage is choppy, grainy and often shaky but the Super 8 film has such a cool look to it.

The best part is, if you listen to the announcer, they’ve got some young talents in the junior races such as Mark Gorski and the one-and-only Greg LeMond — who was probably 16 years old at the time. LeMond kills it too!

Big props to CinelliDog for posting this up.
Speaking of posters, these Marc Evans prints have been spreading around the internetz for the past couple days. I really dig.

Very limited quantity available at The Foot Down.
