Tonight in Los Angeles!

Check the 1000 Bikes pop-up store at the Downtown LA Art Walk.

All proceeds go directly to my buddy CoolAssMike's awesome organization:

« The 1000 Bikes Foundation is a not-for-profit organization which is dedicated to putting a bike in the hands of 1000 foster youth and their families in communities across the United States. The 1000 Bikes Foundation is more than just a charity; it is a movement that creates a treadmark in every city it rides through. Through the giving of equipment, education and demonstration projects, 1000 Bikes promotes the use of bicycles to foster youth and their families as a way of looking beyond their current situation, facilitating family bonding and encouraging healthier lifestyles. »

I’d sport one of these so long as the t-shirts don’t fail like the hubs do.

Available now at Laek House.

Found on Prolly.

Need a t-shirt? Check out these cool designs from the new “urban cycling brand for the fixed gear generation” — Pista Collective.

Look out for some more offerings from these guys coming soon.

Paul Smith is so f’n cool. Here he is racing against the Rapha / Condor / Sharp team at Manchester Velodrome.

I guess the moral of the story is a cycling kit will make you faster.

How about a t-shirt to match your DVS Keirin Pack shoes? Complete with NJS-esque logos and Keirin racer numbers.

Found on The Foot Down.

Check this out, guys! Tony Zaldua's new belt made from a Vittoria tire, EAI cog, chain and my broken Campy Sheriff Star hub. Spotted last night at Encino Velodrome. Genius!

Oh and Tony wanted me to mention… "PATENT PENDING!"

I don’t post a lot of cycling caps because I don’t really ever wear a lot of cycling caps. But this Cinelli cap made for the 2010 Cycle Messenger World Champs in Guatemala is so rad. Get one here.

Found on TOLA.

Speaking of CMCW, one of the last remaining chances to win airfare to Guatemala is about a week and a half away when the VeloCity Tour hits the Bay Area — more specifically, Hellyer Velodrome. I just checked the program and it looks like it’s gonna be an awesome event. Check the details here.

Sunday Cinema:

Alfie

This week, a super-stylish remake of a 1960’s classic with Jude Law taking up Michael Caine's titular character. The story of a guy finding out what it's all about. It's actually pretty good. Hit play to watch it for free!

Can you tell what the theme is of this month’s Sunday Cinemas yet?
Here’s the latest DVS collabo with fixed gear culture which was revealed by The Foot Down over the weekend. The Keirin Pack features a canvas street shoe in 9 different Keirin rider colors. Personally, I think I prefer the details on last year’s DVS Keirin shoe but I’m really digging the homage to Keirin racing here.

These aren’t due till next year. Preview some more catalog shots at The Foot Down.
