  2. OBREE x CAMPY

Chrobin just uncovered a bunch of old photos of Graeme Obree. Check him out riding the crap out of that black line on on a Campagnolo rear disc and Shamal in the front.

Chrobin pretty much nails it as to why Obree is such a hero in track cycling:
« Ever since my father showed me a picture of Obree breaking the hour record 1993 (is was 14years old at the time) the man has always been a kind of symbol for thinking outside the box for me. And It’s not hard loving the underdog in him. »

Check out tons more Obree photos at 42km/timmen.

  3. THE JAGUAR SHARK’S TRACK BUILD

My buddy Zachary has some seriously deadly taste with a fine-tuned attention to detail. That’s what it takes to be a real trackie. I just love this build on his Bianchi D2 which he races up at Hellyer Park Velodrome. I even love the pairing of the Campy crank with the Suntour chainring — although I hear he’s getting some Campy rings.

Either way, such a clean track machine. Nice work, Zach!

  4. CAMPY PEANUT BUTTER WRENCH NO MORE?

I just read that the Campagnolo 15mm wrench — beloved trackie tool for about 60 years — will cease production. Can anyone confirm?

Read the news on Bike Jerks.

  7. I’d sport one of these so long as the t-shirts don’t fail like the hubs do.

Available now at Laek House.

  8. Hanan Alves-Hyde bringing the Hellfire!

My favorite shot (by Pat Benson) from the SCNCA Elite Championships this past weekend at LA Velodrome. Yeah I know Prolly blogged about this earlier today but I like this photo better. Heh heh.

Beaver, Rob and I had a good time on Saturday watching the Keirins and the Individual Pursuits (the Keirin tournament was just a wee little bit more exciting). Wish I coulda watched the Sunday action too but I went down to race the San Diego Cup instead. More about that later…

See more SCNCA Championship shots here. Results will be posted here (all I know right now is Kit Karzen won the Omnium).

Congrats too all the 2010 State Champions!
