Wiggo’s Back On Track!

Everyone’s favorite mod cyclist, Bradley Wiggins, announced that he will be returning to the velodrome for the UCI World Cup in Manchester this February. He hasn’t been competing on track for the past couple of years but he’ll be shooting for the Team Pursuit event at the 2012 Olympics. Says he, “With the Olympics being in London - potentially my last Olympics, I don’t know - it will be a fantastic way to finish. To get another gold medal there in the team pursuit, will be the goal now for us.” Good to have you back, Wiggo!

Someone please get me this new Milltag mod jersey, an homage to Bradley Wiggins. Here’s what they say about it:

Inspired by Wiggo’s performance last year (note the Number 58 on the pockets!) and his love for all things Mod, we think it’s the perfect nod to the man and our own vote of support to young Bradley as he sets off on this year’s Tour.

The jersey is manufactured using the latest performance materials and features a full length front zip, 3 standard rear pockets and a zip pocket for valuables and silicon gum around the full bottom hem to keep it from riding up.

The jersey will be retailing for £70 (plus P&P) and hopefully will be ready for purchase and posting by early next week. As with all Milltag jerseys, numbers are strictly limited edition – in this case only 30 (each individually numbered) so if you want one it’s first come first served: email me now! Congratulations to Bradley Wiggins on winning the first stage of the Giro d’Italia today!

There he is in a photo with two of my personal heroes, Paul Weller and Sir Paul Smith. So sharp!
