Bike Week

Further to my previous post, it’s Bike Week in LA — centering around Bike To Work Day on Thursday. I guess it’s all a part of National Bike Month.

I think it’s pretty ironic that I bike to work every other day but when Bike Week comes around, some shit comes up and I end up not riding my bike. For example — this morning when I left for work, I flatted within half a block from home. It wasn’t an easily fixable flat either (skid patch wore through, need to replace the tire) so I threw my bike back in my apartment and hopped on the bus.

Anyway, above is a cute video from LAPD telling us (crazy bike commuters) how much they are looking out for our best interests. Awww, they really do care. How sweet.

Check out what else is happening for Bike Week LA.
I almost forgot about this. The Good Samaritan Hospital is having their annual Blessing Of The Bicycles tomorrow morning at 8am. Come get your bike blessed.

…cuz you know, better safe then sorry.

It's Official: Riding Makes Us Happy

An article about a study from the American College Of Sports Medicine shows that a little exercise can boost your mood. Really? They had to make a whole study to prove this?
