There’s already a bunch of big track races happening around the country this weekend and to top it off, the Southern California/Nevada Cycling Association's 2010 Masters Track Championships are taking place at Encino Velodrome on Saturday and Sunday.

Look, if you’re young and you aren’t interested in Masters racing (that’s age 30 and up) then that’s fine. Just keep in mind that Masters categories are some of the fiercest and most competitive fields in American bike racing. That’s a fact! I’m not in Masters yet but I’m definitely one of the older Elites and I’m looking forward to being the young buck again when I start racing in the Masters field. Ha ha!

Anyway, there should be some great racing so come out and watch (sorry, registration is closed and there will be no race-day reg). If you can’t get away from your computer screen this weekend then check out Encino’s live stream.

For a schedule of the races, see the 2010 SCNCA Master Championships flyer.
