Photo of the German FES Pursuit Bike at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul. Tony Graham just came across a couple old shots he took of these futuristic bikes built for the East Germany team and used in the Individual and Team Pursuits. Twenty-two years later and that bike still looks like it’s from the future. I’ve recently been watching some VHS tapes I have of the UCI World Championships in the early 90’s and the German team were rocking these bikes. It’s great to be able to see one in more detail.
