This is Dan McGehee. On Saturday June 12th at 10am, he will be attempting to break the 100-Mile Track Record at LA Velodrome.

The current world record of 3:47:26 is held by Rod Evans of Australia. Last year, McGehee — who already holds the 100-Mile Road Record — came within nine seconds of breaking that record set in 1994. He will need to sustain an average speed of nearly 27 mph throughout the 648 laps if he is to succeed. Let’s go cheer him on! This Saturday at 10am!
