A New Individual Pursuit World Record!

Today at the Pan American Track Championships, reigning World Champion Sarah Hammer (USA) destroyed the Women’s 3,000 m Individual Pursuit World Record during the qualifying rounds.

The previous record was held by New Zealand’s Sarah Ulmer at 3:24.537 since August, 2004.  Hammer beat it by over two seconds, clocking in at 3:22.269.
