CHRIS CONO MEMORIAL FUNDRAISER

In just two days, the cycling community has raised over $20,000 for Chris Cono's family to be able to handle expenses during this time of great loss. Please join in by contributing generously to the Chris Cono Memorial Fundraiser and help reach the $30,000 goal.

From the fundraiser page:

We are saddened to announce the loss of our dear friend, teammate, co-conspirator, and colleague Christopher Cono (2/25/1965 - 5/27/2013). The organizer of the Fortune 700 race series, a long-time employee of Velo Pasadena, and a usual suspect on all the local group rides, Chris was a true leader and advocate in the cycling community since the 1980s. Week after week, Chris could be found racing passionately and vigorously on the LA crit scene. He was a unique character and great teammate who will be greatly missed by all of us.

Chris leaves behind a wife, Akiyo, and two sons.

Cash and check donations for the family can be made at the following locations or online here at gofundme.com:

- Velo Pasadena (2562 E. Colorado Blvd. Pasadena, CA 91107)
- Velo Studio (4150 Riverside Dr. Burbank, CA 91505)
- Pedal Spin Studio (266 Monterey Rd. South Pasadena, CA 91030)
- SweetSalt Food Shop (10218 Riverside Dr, Toluca Lake, CA 91602)

Please make checks out to Akiyo Kozakaya. All proceeds will go directly to Chris’ family.

The financial goal is just a starting point to cover immediate expenses however the long-term goal is much greater. Anything you can do is immensely appreciated.
