Сергей Копылов


This is one of those videos where I have no idea what they’re saying but I totally love it anyway. The subject is Russian sprinter Sergei Kopylov leading up to the 1980 Olympics in Moscow.

I know it’s a tad long but the video is a beautiful artifact and well worth watching especially around 11:30 for some cameos by track superstars like Nelson Vails and Michael Hübner. A very awesome time in track cycling history indeed.

Somebody find me the soundtrack!
