Look, I know everyone is paying attention to some other issue in competitive cycling this week but what I really want to know is… why can’t we have events like this in America anymore?
The Home Depot Center Velodrome and the City of Los Angeles are proud and honored to host the UCI Para-Cycling World Championships this week. A world-class event like this doesn’t come to town too often so, come check out the world’s strongest paracyclists race for those Champion Stripes.
Pursuits, Kilo’s and 500m TT’s will be on Thursday through Saturday. Tandem Sprints will be on Sunday (definitely don’t miss that!). Check out the full schedule on the official Para-Cycling World Champs website.
The Copenhagen Six started up yesterday and will be going on through the 7th at Denmark’s Ballerup Arena. Head over to Dancing On The Pedals for a complete recap and report from the first day of racing.
If I can find some kind of video feed I’ll post it up but in the meantime, check out more shots on DOTP’s Flickr.
Last weekend was the 36th event in Manchester Velodrome’s Revolution Series and it looks like a huge crowd turned out to see some true track racing. Head over to British Cycling’s Flickr to see the rest of the set.
